Fourth race in Finnish Off-Road orienteering cup in 2009 is Tura Offi. It's now second time that this race is held. It's located near Rauma and from Turku it's only little bit over 1h to drive (90km). So this is nearest race for our swedish competitors.

Last year there was 7 Swedish teams and allready (before this english translation of race invitation) for this year there is 8 teams participating. So thanks for participating even for advance;)

This time we make something new and fun for this race (at least we try). There will be little (2-4min) voluntary speed section wich should be drivable with all cars and maximum drivable speed will be less than 40km/h. Everyone who make it get points, but class fastest get most, second little bit less etc.

P.S. I'm sorry that this English version of Race Invitation is so late. I have had last weeks quite hurry time table. (Tml-Trophy, Formula offroad). And I'm making also English version for Finland Trophy race invitation in few days...

The cup situation is very interesting in class modified, where Nobo or Finnish Pähäma #69 can win cup, if they win last race. If Nobo is not 1st and Pähäma#69 takes 2nd place they have even points, but then time comparation comes in and Pähäma #69 will win with smaler total amount of time.

Heja NOBO!!!

Thanks Mylppy! Great race as allways! NOBO ligger väldigt bra till och har god chans att vinna cupen. Själva hade vi en del problem. Vi spenderade en del tid på att rikta fälgar, svetsa ihop vår kardan som gick av, knyta ihop vinchsnören och hjälpa Team Tejp med sin kardan. Vi bröt då en CV-knut gick på lunch. Vi var snabbast i prototyp på Speed-tracken (NOBO var snabbast i Modified).

Timo som vann prototyp fick 4998 poäng och vi fick 2430 fast vi bara körde halva tiden utan haverier. Timo körde också sönder en CV-knut, men han hade en i reserv.

Hur som helst var det som vanligt super-kul!

Ruskigt kul o ruskigt jobbigt. Efter ett par dagars rehabilitering börjar livet återkomma till en öm kropp.

Team BMV:s 6:e plats berodde nog mest på att den gamle plattsskärmen otroligt nog höll ihop hela tävlingen utan ett enda fel förutom att styrdämparen gick av. Det märktes dock ingen som helst skilnad och frågan är väl hur många år sen det var den hade någon funktion överhuvudtaget??

Tack alla finländska funktionärer och svenska kamrater för en fanstastisk offroadhelg!

Och ett extra tack till vår IT tekniker Göhtis, utan dig hade nog de flesta av oss inte ens kommit till start med fungerande datorer o kartor.
